The TGE TCP Tool is a Connection Tool for the Communications Toolbox. It provides TELNET and transparent TCP connections. It allows the specification of the host with which to connect as well as the port number on which to connect.
System Seven users must install this in the "Extensions" folder in the System Folder.
System Six users must install the CTB software and install this in the "Communications Folder" folder in the System Folder.
The list below the host name in the configuration dialog shows the current name server cache. Selecting a host in the list will place its name in the host name text field. The question mark button will call the name server to resolve the name in the host name text field. If resolved, the host's IP address will be display in dot notation.
The Tool does *not* handle asynchronous calls of any type (open, read, write, etc.). This will be fixed in a future version. The tool does *not* handle Listening for incoming connections.
